Self-healing of cement mortars based on fly ash and crystalline admixture

چکیده
The actual study has followed the effect of fly ash and crystalline admixture on cement mortars' mechanical self-healing properties. Three types cementitious mortars composed (i) 16 wt.% ash, (ii) admixture, (iii) were compared to standard mortar (in compliance with EN 196-1). capillary water absorption determined sealing efficiency cracks over a period time. experimental results showed that by autogenous 40% after 28 days treatment 70% 6 months treatment, but addition admixtures stimulated self-healing. best containing where achieved 79% 98% months.

Acid Resistance of Fly ash based Geopolymer mortars
Geopolymers are a new promising binder manufactured by activation of a solid aluminosilicate source material with a highly alkaline activating solution and aided by heat. Fly ash, considered to be a waste material is rich in silica and alumina and hence can be used as a source material for manufacture of Geopolymers. These binders have been reported to achieve high early strength and better dur...

متن کاملThermal Properties of High-Volume Fly Ash Mortars and Concretes
As sustainability moves to the forefront of construction, the utilization of high volume fly ash concrete mixtures to reduce CO2 emissions and cement consumption per unit volume of concrete placed is receiving renewed interest. Concrete mixtures in which the fly ash replaces 50 % or more of the portland cement are both economically and technically viable. This paper focuses on a characterizatio...

Today, the characterisation of the microstructure of cement-based materials using non-destructive techniques has become an important topic of study, and among them, the impedance spectroscopy has recently experienced great progress. In this research, mortars with two different contents of fly ash were exposed to four different constant temperature and relative humidity environments during a 180...

The fly ash is a waste produced mostly from the burning of coal in thermal power station which contributes to environmental pollution. It is naturally-cementitious coal combustion by-product. Many studies have been reported in the literature on the performance evaluation of soil – fly ash system as well soil-fly ashfiber system. Although ample studies have been reported with randomly distribute...
